Our second week of this Advent season, we celebrate Jesus as He has come to give us peace. men search in so many ways looking for peace, and God offers it freely to all who realize, believe, and confess that Jesus is Lord. Trusting Jesus will not prevent you from going through storms, but will give you peace in the midst of your storms.

Isaiah 9:6 NKJV
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end.
Micah 5:2-5 NKJV
2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting." 3 Therefore He shall give them up, Until the time that she who is in labor has given birth; Then the remnant of His brethren Shall return to the children of Israel. 4 And He shall stand and feed His flock In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God; And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth; 5 And this One shall be peace.
3 ways that Jesus brings peace:
1. Jesus desires peace among men, women, and nations
Hebrews 12:14 NKJV Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
Matthew 5:9 NKJV Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
Zechariah 9:10b NKJV He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be 'from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.
Eph 2:14 NKJV For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.
Romans 14:19 NKJV Therefore let us pursue the things which made for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
2. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, brings peace between God and man.
Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Romans 5:1 NKJV
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
3. We receive inner peace from Jesus alone.
John 14: 27 NKJV
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Galatians 5: 22 NKJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Romans 15:13 NKJV
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
